BHARAT FESTIVAL

This was a festival that we were fortunate enough to run into during our stay in Wayanad. It was put on in order to spread awareness and promote folk and tribal arts and performances. This included groups from all over India, and each performed their respective folk/tribal art on stage. Some performed songs, dances, and other performance arts.

We recorded a song from a group of performers from Andhra Pradesh which should be playing right now. If you do not hear anything press play on the audio controller located on the bottom right. The recording is of a few drummers who were playing with other men who were dressed as animals, such as tigers, bears, etc. and enacting some type of story or fable. There should be a few pictures of this troupe to your right. Basically we included this because we really enjoyed the unique rythmns of the drums.
